We’re working on a fix right now. Papyrus 12 will soon support variable fonts. In the meantime, any font that’s not variable like the one’s you’ve been using should work fine.
It’s very satisfying that Papyrus 12.02g now supports variable fonts. Papyrus has always had outstanding control over fonts and it was possible to print exactly what was on the screen.
I first came upon Paprus when it was the best word-processor for IBM’s OS/2 Warp in the late 90s. It has of course developed into the current amazing authors’ tool.
