As it says in the title. I don’t want my full name displayed above a comment or my initials, I want a specific single-name pseudonym there. That was the case until very recently, then I had to reset my login data for the website and since that it shows my name.
Hi @servatia83 ,
on Windows you can change this via your menu: Options → Preferences… → Documents → Author Data.
I’m not sure what that is on a mac, but it should be similar.
Thanks for the answer! It’s not letting me do that. The field is greyed out and says ‘corresponds to registration name’.
Have you tried putting the cursor into the field, anyway? I see the same greyed out text and message initially, but I can put the cursor into the field and type over it.
I can put the cursor in the field, but when I try to type nothing happens.
Hi @servatia83, welcome to the Community!
Thanks @joey
Even though the field says it corresponds to the registration name, you should still be able to type over it and change it. I tried to recreate a scenario where it was locked out, but couldn’t.
Here’s how it looks to me:
Is it different for you?
Changing the author name won’t update the name in old comments—that’s intentional. If it did, collaboration would get messy with comments suddenly switching names.
Let me know how it goes!
