Hi,
is there any way to download, use, or find somewhere a french dictionary for Papyrus ?
I’ve seen on a post that somebody had german spellchecking, but for me french is not available and I haven’t been able to source a dictionary in a correct format online. I’m on macOS

Sam, a French dictionary is included in the German version of Papyrus. Could you find out if it would be allowed to be shared?

I found a full word list that I can use to create a file, but I can’t seem to find a way for the file to accept accents. just tried converting the list with ASCII codes to see if it would be recognised, but it seems to not work. I’m really getting stuck here, if there are any solutions it would be great.

It may be that the encoding doesn’t support accents. I made a word list with some accents, and changed the encoding to UTF-8, and the dictionary worked.
You can change the encoding to UTF-8 in the “Save as…” dialog of Notepad:
You can also send the list over in a private message, and I can take a look! 
I managed with a workaround (doing search and replace of accents and replacing with unicode codes)
I still have issues with some formatting linked with the french language.
we have a lot of cases using apostrophes and that breaks the spell check. In french, saying “the interior” would be “l’intérieur”. the spellcheck recognizes “intérieur” if I put a space before the word, but doesn’t accept “L’intérieur”. And even right clicking to add to the dictionnary doesn’t seem to work, most likely because the apostrophe creates a block somewhere.
I don’t know how that is handled by the english spell check (like, is “doesn’t” a full word in the dictionary to be recognized, or is it some more subtle way of understanding the grammatical aspect of it ?), but for a full french language support this would need to be taken into account.
Sadly, this might partially break the use of the software for me at this stage. Still, going to send you a dictionary and glad to hear your thoughts.

Apostrophes in words got handled by keeping the “default language” box to “English US”. Suddenly the program recognized words and the ones that weren’t being recognized were accepted by the dictionary.
Sam has a version of my french dictionary that works so he might be able to share that (I’m not sure where i found that word list on the internet, but now it’s already converted to Unicode). Otherwise, I might still be around and have it if someone needs it at some point in the future so you can DM me.
