I’m using Papyrus Author to write dissertations for my degree. I then need to export them as HTML to import into WordPress. This all works beautifully except that Papyrus puts in a horizontal lane (hr tag) at the end of every page. At the moment I’m having to remove these manually, Is there any way to surpress these in Papyrus?
The (hr) creation upon export is a new behaviour that wasn’t there in previous versions and there is no obvious way to prevent it from happening.
But there is a feature to copy text for the web, which is designed for pasting text into Wordpress:
Edit > Special > Copy for Web (HTML)
If you copy text using this command and then paste it into the visual editor of Wordpress (not the source code editor) then you will end up with perfect HTML and no (hr) added.
