Importing Diagrams into Thinkboard

I have Mindmaps I’d like to import into the Thinkboard without having to reconstruct them piece by piece.

Is there a way to import them as any of these formats: XML, Freemind, Mindjet, OPML or the entire diagram?

Is it possible to modfy a Thinkboard diagram outside of Papyrus and then open them back up in Papyrus?

Hmm, great question! :boom:

I think the challenge with moving mindmapping apps’ diagrams across platforms is, that they all have their own file structures (like an ID systems of connecting elements), proprietary filetypes and a mix of XML/JSON. :artificial_satellite:

With XML, you’ll get the plaintext names of the elements you can copy-paste over to the Thinkboard, but any formatting and element-to-element relationships won’t carry over.

:bulb: One way to help with importing mindmapping elements is a list as text (.txt, word…), copy-paste or drag-and-drop it over to Papyrus and the Thinkboard.

You can export your Thinkboards to PDF files from the PDF icon on the bottom-left toolbar:

PDF is not a good format for modifying, but they’re 1-to-1 presentations of what you see in Papyrus (minus the interactivity, like Character and Story Sheet connections you get in the Thinkboard). :world_map:
