Inserting chapters puts a gray box around the chapter and number

When I insert a chapter in my current project, Papyrus puts a gray box around the chapter, from the top of the page to the beginning of the chapter text. This doesn’t happen when I create a new project, only on the current project. The gray box also shows up around the TOC.

Any idea what’s going on?

I figured out to fix this. I opened a blank project and copied each chapter individually into the new project. I don’t know how the old project put the gray boxes around the chapters but I don’t have to worry about it anymore.
