When I pull up a Character/Item/Location/Reasearch window, it automatically jumps to behind the main window when I click out to do research and I have to move the main window to retrieve it.
Is there a way to keep a Character/Item/Location/Research window in view at all time? Can it somehow be attached to the area where the Pinboard is?
The pinboard is kinda useless since it is not dynamic or “repurposable” to display other important writing materials
When you jump between Papyrus and another app (your browser, for example), Alt + Tab (Windows) or Cmd + Tab (macOS) will bring Papyrus back with the Character Sheet still on top of your main document.
If you click the main window to get back to Papyrus, that window becomes active, and the Sheet moves behind it. You can Alt + Tab (win), or Cmd + tilde (mac) to bring it on top again.
Sheets open in their own windows, so you can drag them to the side of the main Papyrus window and keep them visible while you research or work in other apps. Papyrus remembers where you last placed them, so when you close and reopen a Sheet, it’ll pop back to the same spot on your screen.
The Pinboard is definitely multi-purpose. You can drag in images, move snippets of text directly from the document, or create sticky notes with a double-click to store your materials!
How are you planning to use the Pinboard? Maybe there’s a setting or a trick we can do! Here’s a few tips:
You can make new Pinboard Pages with the chevron icon next to the Pinboard page.
With multiple pages you’ll have virtually infinite space.
If you prefer one big area for notes, open the “View” menu, and turn off “Center Page”. Then, you’ll have one big Pinboard on the right, and your page on the left.
