Older draft stays as the main book/file in Papyrus

For some reason, an old draft keeps populating as the main “Book” or file in Papyrus. I have been consistently updating a new draft, but it never appears as the main file. In fact, I don’t know how two separate files were even created, but one day I noticed a second draft with all my updates, and the old file was outdated, so I continued updating the new draft.

How do I update this so that my most recent draft is the main file?

I am attaching screenshots to clarify what I’m talking about. The old draft is titled, “The Changer,” the new draft is called “The Changer draft (Papyrus).”

Hey, great to hear from you!

Switching the main draft is as easy as right-clicking the project’s cover and choosing “Change Main Document.”

Your new draft should be listed there, just select it! :white_check_mark:

One way I could imagine this happening is, if you’ve opened a backup copy of your project, and continued from there at some point.

If you hover on the current draft’s name in the Start Screen, is the path in “Backups” folder of your project? Like this:

Let me know how it goes! :sun_with_face:

Hey there,

Strangely, this did not work for me. The other document I need to add doesn’t show up in the list. I’ve attached screenshots to show you.

  1. This is the draft I want to select as the main file, which I have screenshot in “Recent Files.” It should be “The Changer draft. (Papyrus)”:

  2. When I go to select an update for current main draft, titled, “The Changer” it does not present my desired draft [“The Changer draft. (Papyrus)”] as an option:

Can you tell me why?

Hi!

Could be that “The Changers Draft (Papyrus)” is not connected to the project. :bulb:

If you right-click it in the Recent Files list, and attach it to your project (as a note, for example), you should see it in the “Change Main Document” list as well! :books:
