Yes! I’ve been waiting for this. So excited!
Me Too!
I’m looking forward to this. Especially as a subscriber - thanks! I have several friends and family who use the free version. It will be a change for them. I wonder if a single license would cover memebers of a single household? It seems that every individual needs a license. I get that. I respect that. But a shared household would be helpful for me, because my spouse uses the feee version, and for a number of other users I know where household partners both write.
I’m always surprised at how little activity there is on this forum. This is a major announcement and very few people seemed to have read it and only three of us have any comment.
I do hope that the new pricing model does well for the company and creates a sustainable and profitable development and support infrastructure. The idea of having to go back to Scrivener is a sad prospect.
I have over three million words poublished in Papyrus and have been a monthly subscriber for years. I use it three to five hours a day. It is the main reason I have a computer. I do use the computer for other things, but Papyrus is my constant companion. I’m glad that the license allows for three computers because I use two different laptops and two different desktops on a regular basis. I may have to cut down to just three authoring machines.
Best wishes. I hope things go smoothly. I do know that some of my writer friends are planning to make te leap and actually start paying for Papyrus. The discount for free users, while not a huge amount of money, makes the buying decision easier for them.
Thanks again.
