Papyrus 12 will release next week on February 17th.
One of two things happened:
We are dedicated to excellence and need the time boost to provide you the most amazing writing software ever.
Schreibzwerge infiltrated and sabotaged the endeavour, since we didn’t localize the product also for Schreibzwergisch, a dialect not too far off what dwarves speak in Moria.
We are extremely excited to show you Papyrus 12 on next week’s Monday.
So… Papyrus 12 has already been available in the German version for several months? And there have already been multiple updates and new features since the release? That’s great! I hope we really see it on the 17th. The german community site seems a lot more active than the US site. It’s encouraging to see.
Hi guys, we are coordinating a move of all accounts to new servers in two timezones, that’s why we’re sending out everything in waves. Don’t want you running into any trouble when you have your invite. I expect everybody on board in no more than 8 hours
I joined the notification list and was a Free member back in 2022. Your new setup looks good so I hope I’m still on your list. Looking forward to the new version!
Thank you everybody for your (varying degrees of ) patience. We are rolling out! All Papyrus Author+ subscribers should now find an invitation in their inbox. Missing yours? Please write us. All other e-mails will continue to be sent out.

Okay, I take it back! Let me be one of the first to congratulate you on the fine work you’ve done with this application. This thing is leaps and bounds ahead of Papyrus Author and its a beautiful piece of software. Can’t wait to get started on my new project.
Just downloaded Papyrus and it looks great! All my files transfered automatically with no problem. I’ve only begun looking around, but what I like so far about the new version is the Start Screen, Book Designer, and the ‘new’ Index Card thinkboard. I have two chapters left on my current book and am looking forward to using the Index Cards for my next novel. Thanks!
