Papyrus 12 Update: [12.04] (05/28) Docx & more

A :sun_with_face:-update is here to shine on your writing. We’re improving Docx-import and export. The bundle comes with some sweet fixes:

Improvements in the Version

  • In Docx export, comments are now maintained at their original positions and aren’t incorrectly merged.

  • Fixed an issue where imported Docx files would no longer display track changes bubbles for overwrites and deletions.

  • Docx import/export now loads much faster.

  • Resolved smooth scrolling issues in certain dropdowns, such as in the Book Designer.

  • Fixed a crash in the Book View caused by incorrect cover image calculations.

  • Status icons can now be deselected in the table view within the Organizer.

  • Fixed a rare bug that caused crashes during searches and “Select All” actions.

  • Adjusted certain fonts that could create overlapping characters when used as small caps.

  • Resolved a crash when manipulating the dictionary involving words with comment markings.

  • Fixed the erroneous creation of pinboards during undo operations of event markers.

  • When creating chapters from the Navigator or context menu, an initial line is now automatically generated. Previously, chapters created in this way lacked content and could cause issues during move operations.

  • Transparency is now supported on the Thinkboard, resulting in circular images no longer needing to be encased in a square frame.

Enjoy the new version! :star_struck:

Good stuff. It’s nice to see fixes still being worked on.

However, I’m still waiting and hopeful on some other small things, like getting the plugin back in for Chrome. For reference, the Firefox plugin is still there and works with Papyrus 12, but I’d like to use the plugin in my usual browser. Can we get an ETA on how soon we can have that? I’m no programmer, but if it used to be there, it might not be so hard to put it back?

I agree. I would really like to see the Chrome extension back.
