Renaming pap file (s)

Windows 10, Papyrus Author Pro

So… I was going to review Papyrus by starting the layout of my next novel and named the file for the new novel. However, I found myself putting my entire current work in that file, so now, my file is named incorrectly. Can I safely change the name of the database and backup files to the new one in Windows Explorer?

I’d recommend using “Save As…” in the File menu and choose a new name. Renaming from the file explorer will work in most cases, too, but might require reconnecting a few files.

If you find yourself with a file that doesn’t find its databases anymore, you can reconnect them in the Author menu:
