We’ve got two more big ones for the plotters.
With Character Sheets in the Thinkboard, it makes sense to add Sheets to all the other story elements as well:
Story Sheets: Your All-in-One Plot Companion
Every chapter, scene, and event now comes with its own dedicated sheet where you can keep track of all the important details:
Story Sheets in Your Text
Just like characters, the plot points of your book have a ton of detail to keep up with.
What needs to happen in this chapter? How does this scene push the plot forwards? Why is this event important? Filling up the Story Sheets makes sure all these questions are answered.
Each Story Sheet comes with an icon on the left side of the text. Just hover on the icon to show the sheet, and double click to edit it.
The “Characters, Places & Objects” section is automatically populated with the Characters, Items and Locations mentioned in the text.
Organized Story Sheets
The Organizer has a new view for Story sheets. Click on a chapter, scene or an event to open it:
This is a great view for batch-working through the plot points.
If you right-click on the Characters, Locations and Items areas of a Story Sheet, you can add “Planned” participants in as well. They will switch from “Planned” to “Mentioned” as you write the chapter and they actually show up.
… And while you’re in the Organizer, set the plot points of your story in the new Story Arc column.
Dramaturgy with Story Arcs
Choose from the Three-Act Structure, Five-Act Structure, or the Hero’s Journey to map out your story’s flow.
Story structure helps you spot how tension builds in your book. If your hero crosses the Threshold late in the story, it might be worth reshuffling chapters to keep the pacing tight.
You can set the Story Structure in both the Organizer and individual Story Sheets in the writing view. The Structure is also shown in the Timeline:

If you’ve already got a Papyrus project, all your chapters’, scenes’ and events’ icons are now Story Sheet icons.
If you’re starting a new project, click on the Chapter icon in the toolbar, and start there.
