I use organiser to drive my books, not timeline, so I’m really struggling with the new version. In the past there was a box on the right hand side of the organiser screen where you could add everything - threads, characters, locations… now it seems to have gone. I need to be able to do these things quickly and effectively to set up my new book. Hoping you can help.
Thanks, Joey - it was there when I logged back in, so all good from that point of view.
I work in scenes and I can see an empty box for characters, but nothing happens when I click on it, so how do I add them (likewise items and locations)?
I’ve found threads under the timeline tab, which is a great help, as are most of the new features, but I have to be able to get the characters and locations I’ve set up in to plan the book.
All the best,
Jane

Hi @jane_202
you probably turned it off accidentally with the little icon on the very right bottom:
Hi!
These fields get all the characters that are mentioned in the text. You can also right-click on the field, and add characters you’re planning to write into your chapters and scenes later:
These move from “Planned in…” to normal view when they’re mentioned in the text.
If you’ve already got a chapter that has characters, and they don’t show in these fields, try closing and re-opening the Organizer. The Organizer gets re-drawn fully on opening.
Thanks, Sam - the right click works for me
