Editing in plaintext and sync with Papyrus>

Hi I like to use plaintext editors like iA Writer to edit on a Mac and iPad and store the text in iCloud Drive. This setup takes care of synch for me and I like the distraction free experience of the editor.
However I also want to be able to export and import into Papyrus for final editing and all the other features we use the app for.
At the moment I just use copy and paste and this is very tedious over 40 chapters/scenes.
Does anyone have some advice?

Hi! :sun_with_face:

If your chapters are saved as separate documents, I think you could combine them into one big document in iA Writer with Content Blocks.

When you export that, you’ll get a single .docx file you can just drag and drop into Papyrus — it’ll automatically turn into a .pap project.

Here’s an article on Content Blocks: Content Blocks in iA Writer: Include images, tables, text files and code

Let me know if that works! :+1:

Thank you for this suggestion It shows great promise and does work well. I just need to reformat my heading a little to get chapters and figure out how to remove #hastags.
I think this will work out well
